🎛️The Dadnology Slow Horses Standard
One novel, six episodes, no padding, and a story that ends when it is finished. Every season of this show is roughly four and a half hours — about the length of two films — and not one of those hours is filler. That is the bar we now hold every other prestige drama to, and almost none of them clear it.

Catherine Standish is taken, the ransom is a file inside Regent's Park, and Whitehall turns on itself. Ends with an assault on Slough House. Six episodes, November to December 2023.
A bombing in a London shopping centre leads back to River's grandfather, a spymaster whose memory is failing. Hugo Weaving arrives as Frank Harkness. Six episodes, September to October 2024.
