About Dadnology
Honest LEGO, tech & gaming reviews and daily LEGO news from a dad's perspective – practical, family-tested, anti-hype.
1. What is Dadnology?
Dadnology is your guide to tech, gaming, entertainment and life with kids – curated by a real dad who's passionate about practical solutions, fun, and quality time.
2. Who's Behind This?
I'm Patrick – father of two, smart home nerd, gaming fan, movie junkie, and a lifelong Star Wars fan (Filoni's animated shows above all). I live in the German countryside with my wife, two kids, a dog and a cat. Life is chaotic, but full of love – and that mix inspired Dadnology.
3. Why Dadnology?
Most tech blogs aren't written for parents juggling budget, kids, time and mental bandwidth. Dadnology delivers real-life-tested insights that help families make smart decisions – no fluff, no buzzwords.

5. Brands We Trust
Some brands earn their place in this house after years of real-world abuse — not because they paid for it. Apple, Nikon, Nintendo, Xbox, LEGO, Marvel, Star Wars: these are the brands we've used since before Dadnology existed, and we still buy them today.
6. My Philosophy
No sponsored junk, no fake comparisons — nothing here is paid placement, and a bad product gets a bad score. Just honest recommendations from one dad to another.
The gear we live with gets genuine hands-on testing — minimum 2–4 weeks for hardware, full playthroughs for games, complete reads for books. Buying guides and part of our LEGO coverage are research-based editorial assessments built on official data, clearly separated from hands-on verdicts. See the full review methodology →
