Prime Video used its SDCC 2026 Hall H panel to premiere the first teaser for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3, and it came with the date fans have been waiting on: November 11, 2026. The teaser went online publicly on July 26, and the pitch is straightforward — this is the season the show has been building toward since the first frame: Sauron forging the One Ring.

The honest context: this show has been divisive in a way few adaptations manage, and plenty of households bounced off season 1 before season 2 tightened things up considerably. Season 3 is the one that closes the distance to familiar ground — Barad-dûr standing, Sauron’s armies marching, and the One Ring itself being made. If you’ve been waiting for the show to stop circling and start connecting to the trilogy you can quote from memory, this is the season that does it.
